Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 10-11:15am 2024 N Argyle St, Portland, OR 97217

Class is Slow Flow, a steady and grounded practice rooted in the teachings of hatha yoga. We will mindfully move and explore, inviting strength, openness, and soul nourishment. There will be space to move energy through the body, connect deeply to your breath, and cultivate both stability and ease. Expect slowness and attention to the subtle. All body shapes and sizes and breadth of yoga experience welcome! (We love children but this class is currently only open to adults!)

We don't have props or mats available at this time. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket (and anything else you'd like to have to support your personal practice). We will be offering a live stream this time around! Please sign up and Madre will email you the Zoom link ahead of time.

Look forward to having you!

I'll be teaching IRL at the lovely Madre Linen headquarters here in Portland! Please come! I'm excited to join the sweet community at Madre—they create beautiful linens for the home, but they are are also doing all kinds of cool community events at their space that honor connection and well-being.

Since this is the first yoga class at Madre, we don't have props or mats available at this time. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket (and anything else you'd like to have to support your personal practice). We will not be offering a live stream of this first class—however, we will likely make this option available in the near future.

Look forward to having you!

This workshop will offer an opportunity to deeply unwind via nourishing, slow-moving yoga poses, myofasical release, and self-massage. This week we will focus on the lower body: hips, glutes, legs, and feet, using our greatest tool: the breath! Let us practice softening, yielding, surrendering, being-with, and releasing.

You will need a tennis ball or something similar, like a lacrosse ball or a pet ball. Alternatively, you can use a food item stand-in, like a potato or an onion (these can be placed in a sock). Body oil or muscle salve can be a nice addition, but is not required.

This rendition of Tension Tending will happen Sunday, May 24, 2020, 10-11:30 am PDT, via Zoom. Workshop will be offered at a sliding scale $20-$35. If this is beyond your reach at the moment, contact me directly and let's talk. You can sign up ahead of time by: 1) Sending me an email at bodyceremony@gmail.com. 2) Sending payment through Paypal by clicking here, or via Venmo: @Allison-Riegel. Look forward to having you!
